PERSONALITY
Shy and soft-spoken, Eddie was often the brunt of teasing in school due to his eye and his tendency to cry easily. He adored his mother at first until adolescence, then he began to question her strict teachings and secretly rebel against them.
Poorly socialized, Eddie only had two friends growing up, but their presence and support was enough to get him through his teenage years.
Eddie is doggedly loyal and forgiving. It takes a hell of a lot to make him sever ties with someone, as he tends to shoulder the blame for abuse and mistreatment.
Eddie is practical and hardworking, with a need for tidiness in his day-to-day life.

HISTORY
With an alcoholic, abusive father and a strict, fervently-religious mother, Eddie's childhood was rough. His brother Isaac took after their father, which meant more cruelty toward poor Eddie. But Jeremy was Eddie's god-given solace. Jeremy consoled and supported Eddie when Isaac went missing, so Eddie returned the favor when Jeremy's parents separated.
He didn't hold it against Jeremy for moving away. Eddie had his chance, but he chose to stay and take care of Ma. Deep down, he's secretly glad Isaac's bones turned up buried off the highway, because it brought Jeremy back home.
