When Clayton volunteers to go on a road trip and help his workplace crush Mike spread his mother’s ashes in Key West, he has one prime objective: get as far as possible from his own domineering mother, Pearl. If the trip means a lot of time in close quarters with Mike, even better.

On the road, Clayton and Mike form a deeper connection, but Clayton can’t stop looking over his shoulder for Pearl. With good reason, because Pearl’s on a journey of her own that won’t end until she drags Clayton back to Castle Forrester.
